It is halfway though the month so I am halfway through my writing challenge. I am only a couple of thousand words behind where I should be to be on track but that is to be expected at this point in the week. I always write more on the weekend anyway so I should easily catch up then.

I am enjoying the story that I am writing for my project. It is an idea that I have had in my head for a long time but hadn’t got round to writing yet. It is a an apocalyptic story with zombie like creatures (although not true zombies). I have tried to keep the biology as plausible as possible because I generally find it really annoying how wrong most stores/programmes get science. That and I am determined to use my degree for something other than to put letters after my name.

I am thinking about taking the last week of this month off so that I can finish the first draft of my novel and maybe even do some editing. Alternatively, I might just finish my first draft then practice my primary skill of procrastinating until it is time to go back to work again.
