Book of Koli by M R Carey. This is the first book in a three part series.

I enjoyed reading this book. The story was good but the best part of this story is the world that it is set in.

The story is set in the distant future where everything has changed. You learn more about the world as the book progresses and I think that this is a trend that would continue into the next two books in the series as there are still a lot of unanswered questions.

I like the characters in the story. The main character is naïve of a lot of things going on in the world but the author does a good job of making sure that we know what is going on even when he doesn’t. To the extent that it is often clear to us which way the story is heading way before this becomes evident to the main character.

Overall it is a well written book and a good story. I would give it 8/10 stars
