Today is one of two rest days that I have scheduled in for myself this week. I could have easily run today but I thought I was a good idea to take the day off to allow my body to have a bit of time to recover as I haven’t had a rest day since last Thursday.
In addition to this I have been feeling like I am coming down with a cold. There is a good chance that this won’t come to anything but even so I think a rest will help me to feel a bit better. Hopefully after a day of rest and an early night I will feel much better in the morning.
Even if I do end up getting a full on cold I don’t intend to let this stop me from getting the miles in and getting healthy. I might have to take my runs a bit more slowly and make sure that I eat (even) more fruit and vegetables until I am feeling 100% again.
Anyway, I am going to go and get some rest now so that I can come back strong tomorrow.
