Beginning of April

It is now the start of April, I am still behind where I would like to be at this stage but there is still plenty of time for me to make it up as my fitness levels increase. I knew that the first few months of the year were going to be the hardest for me. I am still overweight and I have gone from doing little exercise to doing a lot of exercise.

I feel as though I am getting less aches and pains from running than when I first started but running again which is good but I still need to work on getting faster. Being faster will mean that I am able to do longer runs without it having to impact on the rest of my life too much.

I am planing on sticking to doing 4 longer runs in the week rather than going back to doing 5 shorter runs as I think this is working out better for me. It is giving my body more time to recover between runs which is probably helping me to not get injured despite running so much.

My diet has been by far my weakest point of the year so far. This is something that I probably should put some effort into as losing even a little bit of weight will help me with both my running and general fitness. Maybe this is something that I can focus on in the upcoming weeks.

In summary, it has been quite a good start to the year but I still have a lot of work to do in order to get me to whereI need to be to hit my goals for the year.
