Autumn is usually my favorite time of year. I am not really a fan of warm weather generally so the fact that it is cooler is great for me but there are a number of other things that I really enjoy about this time of year.

One of my favorite things about this time of year however is the way things in nature look and smell. I love the colours of the leaves, the seeds falling from the trees and the smells which remind me that winter and Christmas are on their way. I also love commuting to work on crisp, misty mornings which warm up as the day goes along.

This year however I am not feeling so happy about this time of year. The problem is that it was this time of year last year that I lost my mum. This means that everything which I usually love about this time of year is now reminding me of that loss.

I knew that this year was going to be difficult so I am trying to deal with this in the best way that I know of, by keeping busy.
